Consultancy Services are designed for customers who have technical support requirements that fall outside of standard service offerings. These requirements may be complex or difficult to define.

BT provides technical consultants, who are at the customer's disposal at agreed daily rates or pre-defined intervals on an 'as needed' basis, to provide solutions that address specific needs.

The Convergent Solutions Technical Design team offers the following Consultancy Services: LAN Audit, WAN Audit, IPT Readiness Audit, Voice Audit, Ad hoc Consultancy. Consultancy Services are designed for customers who require additional technical support for either a specific consultancy service or for adhoc tasks. What is a LAN Audit?

A LAN Audit is an infrastructure audit of a customer's LAN which provides information to the customer on the health of their LAN and recommendations to improve the performance of their LAN. There are several LAN Audit Service options: LAN Audit, LAN Performance Healthcheck and LAN Data Assessment and Report.

The key benefits of a WAN Audit

A well performing WAN is critical for your company's efficiency and effectiveness. A WAN Audit will provide you with crucial information on the health and performance of your WAN from the perspective of its infrastructure, technology and configuration. We can also provide services to analyse the performance of your applications over your WAN.

IPT Readiness Audit

An IP Telephony (IPT) Readiness Audit is an infrastructure audit of a customer's LAN and WAN to assess its readiness for moving away from a traditional voice network towards a convergent solution where voice calls are carried over a data network. The audit will also recommend which IP Telephony solution would be most suitable for your work environment.

Voice Audit

A Voice Audit is an infrastructure audit of a customer's traditional voice network with recommendations for optimising your technology. We cover Nortel and Avaya PBX platforms.

Ad hoc Consultancy

BT's highly-trained Network Consultants can provide asrequired advice and specific documented recommendations to meet your ICT development needs. As our customer, you will determine the scope of the requirement and BT will aim to meet your needs by access to its extensive local and global resources.
